Visitors can enjoy meals from their favourite vendors without waiting in long queues
Qatar is hosting the 11th edition of the very popular Qatar International Food Festival (QIFF). This multicultural culinary festival runs until Friday, December 17 at AlBidda Park. Snoonu is the exclusive delivery partner this year, providing free delivery from the food stalls to customers within the festival grounds. Instead of waiting in long queues, people can have their meals delivered to them as they enjoy entertainment performances or relax in the seating areas.
Additionally, Snoonu has a QIFF booth where visitors can play games and win rewards ranging from food and coupons to Snoonu branded gifts. All visitors have to do is have an account on the Snoonu application. Thus, it is no surprise that their booth has been seeing immense traffic since the start of the festival.
Qatar Tourism organises QIFF in collaboration with public and private sector partners. It is part of the entity’s strategy to grow and diversify the country’s tourism experiences and spotlight the country’s thriving dining scene. This year’s edition has been timed to coincide with the FIFA Arab Cup 2021, for a duration of three weeks instead of the usual 10 days. This extended period allows residents, visitors and football fans ample opportunity to enjoy a wide range of gastronomic experiences and entertainment.
Victoria Adair from Qatar Tourism said, “QIFF is the region’s biggest food festival, offering unique experiences from gourmet cuisine to authentic local dishes and entertainment. Through these festivals, Qatar Tourism provides a platform to local talent, with start-ups and local businesses gaining exposure and the ability to expand their market reach. We are delighted to partner with Qatar’s own Snoonu delivery app. Thanks to them, visitors can receive their meals at their seats and therefore, have more time to enjoy the festivities.”
Hamad Alhajri, Snoonu’s Founder and CEO, said “We’re honoured to have a chance to partner with and support Qatar Tourism in the essential work that they do by being the official QIFF delivery partner. We also look forward to more innovative partnerships with Qatar Tourism’s future projects.”
There is plenty of family entertainment throughout the festival. This includes a mix of live music and DJs, roaming entertainment, mini golf, trampolines, a hot air balloon experience, carnival games, and much more. Multiple local and regional artists will also perform at the festival including Music Vending Machine, 11 Strings, Harget Kart, Pablo Discobar, Hadis, Soul Brother, REJAM, AFCENT Band, Charlie Porter Quintet, and AFCENT Band.
