Couples' retreat

An itinerary targeting Chinese couples (average age 41) who are seeking a luxurious stopover retreat where they can relax and feel fully catered-to. They can indulge in shopping, eat the local cuisine and visit sites of natural beauty. The schedule also includes some sun and sand time where they enjoy reconnecting with one another and feel perfectly pampered.

1. Stroll through vibrant Souq Waqif and the Gold Souq

Built on the site of Doha's century-old trading market, Souq Waqif's winding alleys with merchants selling traditional garments, spice and handicrafts remain an important part of daily life in Qatar. The newly renovated souq now also offers a myriad of restaurants, coffee shops and lounges. Souq Waqif is also home to the Falcon Souq, where you can see the majestic birds up close and pose with a falcon perched on your arm. Continue the tour to the Gold Souq across the street whre all that glitter is, in fact, gold. Shoppers can find a rich variety of jewellery, both traditional and contemporary pieces, at competitive prices.

2. Wander through Msheireb Downtown and Doha Design District

Continue your journey to the vibrant neighbourhood of Msheireb Downtown that revives Doha’s old commercial district with a new architectural language. Dive deep into Qatar's untold stories and intriguing history at the Msheireb Museums. Explore the four historic heritage houses that have been restored and transformed into museums to explore key actors and periods in Qatar's history and evolution. The Msheireb Museums provide visitors with a walk through Qatar's history in an up-close and personal way. Next, explore Qatar’s newest hub for creativity and innovation, the Doha Design District. The district is home to new galleries, showrooms, creative services, and stores, as well as restaurants and cafes on offer by Qatar's up and coming designers, artists and entrepreneurs.

3. Explore Katara Cultural Village

Katara Cultural Village is Doha’s destination for culture and entertainment. Enjoy the perfect combination of art galleries and workshops, theatres and performance venues along with a variety of exceptional restaurants Karata Cultural Village is also home to Galeries Lafayette, which features unique partnerships with local designers for the shopping enthusiasts.

4. Wander along the highlights of The Pearl (Optional private yacht charter)

The Pearl Qatar is a man-made island near Doha's prestigious West Bay District. Featuring Mediterranean-style yacht-lined marinas, residential towers and more, it also offers a luxurious shopping experience and modern dining spots - from refreshing ice creams to five-star culinary experiences. Wander The Pearl's Porto Arabia, Medina Centrale and/or Qanat Quartier for leisurely seaside strolls, luxury and local boutiques, and a myriad of specialized eateries. 

Optionally, you may choose to enjoy a private yacht cruise out from the gorgeous Marina to enjoy the sights and scenes all around the Pearl.

1. Early morning hot air balloon trip

Start your day with a hot air balloon ride to witness the beautiful landscapes of Doha during sunrise. Experience the exciting sky adventure while enjoying a 360-degree panoramic and picturesque view of the city.

2. Tour the Zekreet area

Venture out on a tour of the Zekreet area, a village in north-western Qatar near Dukhan and about 80 km north-west of Doha. Nestled between limestone rock formations outside Zekreet and Ras Abrouq Nature Reserve, you will find Richard Serra's East-West/West-East installation, comprising four steel plates, each of which is over 14 m in height, and spanning over 1 km. It stands in stark contrast to the soft brown hues of the desert surrounding it and offers a comment on isolation and the passage of time. Other highlights of the tour includes rock climbing,  exploring Film City and visiting an Arabian oryx sanctuary, a breeding farm for Qatar's national animal.

AFTERNOON/EVENING

3. Relax and rejuvenate back at the resort

Spend your afternoon walking the beach, sunbathing and taking dips in Doha's sparkling Gulf waters and your resorts' exclusive pools. You may also want to relax and rejuvenate with a spa treatment of your choice. Qatar's five-star properties house some of the most luxurious spas in the world.

End the day with a memorable fine dining experience at a high-end restaurant of your choice. Qatar is known for its haute cuisines and its diverse culinary.

3. Lunch at NMoQ for Qatari cuisine
